I Went To Nintendo Live In Seattle!
This past weekend, I was lucky enough to fly out to Seattle, WA for Nintendo Live.
For a lifelong fan, this event was a dream come true.
I even enjoyed the 2+ hour wait in line to check in, as I could hear music from The Legend of Zelda Symphony and The Super Mario Bros. Big Band (plus a mix of pre-recorded Mario, Zelda, Kirby, and Animal Crossing tracks).
After check in, I was able to explore all of the themed areas, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pikmin 4, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 3, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, LEGO Super Mario, and of course, Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Speaking of, I got to play the 15 minute demo of Super Mario Bros. Wonder… 3 times.
Now, I’ve seen all that the demo has to offer.
I’ll be publishing full thoughts about the Super Mario Bros. Wonder demo on my YouTube channel soon.
Nintendo Live 2023 Favorites!
I’ll share some pictures from the event, but I’m afraid you’ll need to see a Nintendo Live in-person to get the full effect.
Favorite themed area: Pikmin 4
Seeing the giant Oatchi up close was just incredible.
Normal, fluffy tail Oatchi. :)
Themed area that pleasantly surprised me: Kirby and the Forgotten Land
The line for the full photo-op was too long, and I ran out of time. But I snuck a photo from behind. The life-size Car Kirby was a sight to behold.
Overall favorite moment: Playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder!
When I saw Wonder was playable at Nintendo Live, I knew I had to make the trip!
I played once as Daisy, once as Mario, and once as Yoshi (pictured).
Being one of the first people in the world to play an unreleased Mario game is one of the coolest things I’ve done in my life!
Thank you for everything Nintendo!
